I’ve seen it all now. Frequent copyright infringer Mariah Carey had her wedding reception at Magic Mountain amusement park. There’s really not much I can add to that, as the joke clearly tells itself.

Prior to Mariah Carey’s reception, her husband, Nick Cannon, was spotted buying her Hello Kitty items at a local store. Remind me again, she’s 39, right?
Mariah Carey married former CEO Tommy Mottola for his money and connections at Sony Music in the 1990’s, that made her famous, racking up a lot of number ones based on payola, chart rigging and excessive promotion.

Now it looks like she is the subject of the same greed and ambition via Nick Cannon, who was spotted driving around in a new $120,000 Maserati.

Too much plastic surgery. Madonna looks like someone ran a science experiment on her and it went wrong. A drag queen named Jackie Beat made an explicit diss song about Mariah and Madonna titled “Retouch My Body.” In it she said of Madonna “Just look at Madonna. In real life she looks like an ancient iguana.”
Observers noting Warner Music Group’s fluctuating stock price, which made two bizarre rallies this year, though sales were and continue to be significantly down, wondered out loud what was going on over there at the crooked label.
Singer Mariah Carey’s publicity stunt of a marriage stole Madonna’s thunder this week, as “Hard Candy” descends into obscurity with a massive second week sales drop of 70% on numbers that had already suffered a 70,000 copy fall off from her previous album.

Warner Music is clearly hanging on by fraud. France already formally accused Edgar Bronfman jr. of a stock buy back scam with another company. Therefore, I wouldn’t put it past him. Warner Music investors are not protected and are being set up for a nasty fall.

Warner Music Second-Quarter Loss Widened on Taxes (Update2)
May 8 (Bloomberg) — Warner Music Group Corp., the world’s third-largest record company, reported a wider second-quarter loss as taxes increased and compact disc sales fell. The company suspended its quarterly dividend.
The net loss of $37 million, or 25 cents a share, compared with a loss of $27 million, or 19 cents, a year earlier, the New York-based company said today in a statement.

Mariah Carey tanked American Idol’s ratings. The show has been in decline and she solidify that. The mere fact that she drove down American Idol ratings makes you wonder if another Jay-Z style record sales fraud took place with her new CD. Those numbers look suspect, especially with such a weak lead single.
She is on the same label that got into trouble with Soundscan for bribing retailers to scan through one unit of an album several times to fraudulently inflate sales.
“Last week’s performance show, featuring the songs of Mariah Carey, one of the most successful pop singers in history, was the lowest-rated Tuesday “Idol” in five years among TV’s most important demographic, adults ages 18 to 49. The subsequent results show, in which country warbler Kristy Lee Cook got the hook, delivered “Idol’s” worst Wednesday numbers among adults ages 18 to 34 since its first season back in summer 2002.
Producers also saw depressed ratings for their “Idol Gives Back” charity extravaganza, which this year aired as a stand-alone show with no competition-related material.”
She Doesn’t Want Kids
Regarding childbearing, the selfish, self-absorbed singer said having kids would make her feel violated. Yes, you read that right. Her publicist was probably smoking weed and didn’t catch that statement in time to stop it. What kind of thing is that to say about kids:
But in a somewhat bizarre explanation, the singer has claimed that having children would leave her feeling ‘violated’. “I never wanted to feel violated and I know that’s a kind of weird thing to say, but that’s how I am.”
Humidifiers
What is this craziness with you needing 20 humidifiers. While your voice has changed since your “Music Box” album to a whisper sound, rather than the strong vocals you debuted with, which may explain the humidifiers, that’s just excessive. If you need that many humidifiers it’s time to see a throat specialist:
But perhaps her greatest moment of diva madness came during a trip in 2005 when at 2am she refused to check in to her hotel until a red carpet and scented candles lined the entrance.
“I’ll have 20 humidifiers around the bed,” she revealed. “Basically, it’s like sleeping in a steam room. The bed is all towelling cloth, the ceiling is sloped so the water can’t fall on my head. My TV is behind glass.”

I’m not gonna lie, I had a laugh at the next story. Apparently, Mariah Carey has no respect for other people’s time and showed up 2 hours late to a signing in New York. According to TMZero, her fans, who she calls “Lambs” let her have it, booing her upon arrival.
This round of press interviews for her poor new album “E=MC2” will undoubtedly include her griping about her usual:
a.) What a terrible man her ex-husband Tommy Mottola is, even though he made her more famous than she should have been, using payola, chart rigging, too much of Sony’s budget, which other artists griped about, and covered for her time and time again, settling cases when she ripped of various other artists’ copyrighted music (seven separate lawsuits from known and lesser known acts).
b.) What a hardship it’s been for her being biracial, as that’s clearly the only thing that defines her and she is the only biracial person in existence. There are millions of biracial people in the world and I haven’t found one more hung up on it than you.
It’s not that hard, but you make it sound dysfunctional. All the biracial people I know are well adjusted, but you act like it’s an impairment or some rift in space and time. If you can’t see past your color, how do you expect other people to. Like Michael Jackson said, “It doesn’t mater if you’re black or white.” Ok, maybe Michael’s not the best example on this.

If you want to make your interviews interesting, you know what you could do, talk about your ex-husband’s ties to the mafia. Oh wait, that’s right, you’d get shot. Never mind.

Mariah Carey Slammed
Mariah Carey was slammed in the New York Daily News recently for being, well, an overrated singer that is closing in on an undeserved Billboard record for the most number ones.
Considering her ex-husband Tommy Mottola actively used payola to get her songs to the top of the charts and she has been the subject of a number of credible copyright infringement lawsuits that has tarnished her legacy, she really does not deserve the title. She has been sued by The Emotions, Earth Wind And Fire and several independent writers for song theft.

Furthermore, she is not the best singer in the world either (not that it would have anything to do with the most #1’s). Vocalists like Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston are way ahead of her in the vocal department. Mariah’s voice also began to change after her “Emotions” CD.
Employing the whistle register as apart of one’s repertoire does not the best singer make. As diverse as it can be when utilized properly, even flipper has the whistle register (that was a little joke).
Additionally, you can’t complain about people thinking you’re a “ditzy moron” as you put it, because you are the one that set up that image of being superficial, with Hello Kitty as your role model. This also makes your new album title “E=MC2” way over your head. No one believes you are a scholar in any measure, as you’ve devoted your time to less worthy pursuits.

SINCE her 1998 divorce from record honcho Tommy Mottola, Mariah Carey has been linked to a string of high-powered men. including Yankee star Derek Jeter, Latino singer Luis Miguel, music exec Mark Sudack and even rapper Eminem. But don’t assume she sleeps around. Pressed about Eminem, the Grammy winner tells the Times of London: “Please! I never had any type of sexual relationship with that man. I can count the number of people I’ve had sex with on fewer than the fingers on one hand.”
Off the charts
Cultural note: We see that the warbler Mariah Carey, who has already tied Elvis Presley as the second-place holder of the most No. 1 records, will soon, if her new hit ditty goes to the top of the charts, tie the Beatles as the first-place holder of the most No. 1 records ever.
Man.
That’s – that’s just wrong.

NEW YORK, NY (AP) — Mariah Carey knows her indisputable talent clashes with her sexed-up image as a “ditz.” “It’s a dichotomy, I understand,” the 37-year-old Grammy winner tells Allure magazine. “I understand that people think I am a ditzy moron.”
The singer – who was treated for exhaustion in 2001 after a public meltdown – says she still struggles with her confidence.

It was reported today that rapper Eminem, who has been arrested in the past on various charges, is writing a book. The book is said to be of his private thoughts.
Hmm wonder if there will be a chapter on singer Mariah Carey, who he claims he had sexual relations with while married to Kim Mathers, though she continues to deny it.
It wouldn’t be the first time for Mariah, considering her ex-husband Tommy Mottola was married and in his forties, when she met him as an 18 year old aspiring singer, began an affair with him, in exchange for him making her a star.
Well, inclusion in Eminem’s book would put her back in the looney bin. We can only hope (just kidding).

There are some individuals in the music industry that have long had ties with the mafia. It earned them a bad reputation that they were never able to shake.
For years many have claimed Motown was started with mob money. Motown founder Berry Gordy vehemently denies the allegation to this day. For years Frank Sinatra was accused of working for the mob. He never denied it nor did he confirm it.

Tommy Mottola, the former head of Sony Music, and ex-husband of singer Mariah Carey, was the subject of a widely read, unflattering piece in Vanity Fair that flat out said he has mob ties.

The news also brought a quick call to Sony from a CBS corporate officer. “Do you know this guy has a Mafia background?” a senior executive quotes the CBS man as saying. “What are you doing tainting this wonderful company you just bought from us with a guy who has a background that could make the F.B.I cringe?” – Vanity Fair

Then there was former Miami club king Chris Paciello, who dated Madonna, and was indicted, convicted and sent to prison for 10 years on a mafia related murder that transpired in his home state of New York. Madonna’s girlfriend, literally, Ingrid Casares, reportedly even accompanied him to mob meetings, according to Gangland News.

Paciello became a prominent figure on the club scene in Miami in the 90’s, making millions from two night clubs and a restaurant. Then came the indictment against him for a mob murder in New York. Gone was his money and fame to federal indictments, lawyer fees and jail. He snitched on the mob and received 7 years in jail.
Then there’s the Anthony Pellicano wiretap, harassment and witness tampering scandal where writer Anita Busch was targeted:

There’s that name again “Ciccone.” Fancy that, Madonna’s faking an English accent, trying to break into the English aristocracy, when she’s got more mob ties than Capone. Because tea, Ascot and the English countryside go hand in hand with the mafia. Not. Madonna puts the c in common.
Anthony Pellicano
Anthony Pellicano worked for clients such as Madonna and Tom Cruise. The federal government stated this year that Pellicano has mob ties and tried to put a hit on an incarcerated man that worked with him, to stop him from testifying in the disgraceful wiretap scandal that has exposed several Hollywood stars and just how far they will go.
But at the end of the day, one really has to asks oneself, what does music or film have to do with crime. As a star, to venture into such territory tells the world you shouldn’t even be in the business at all.
