Brazen Robbery In Broad Daylight

EG Buehrle Collection

Thieves descended on a Zurich museum, the EG Collection, and stole $160 million in 1800’s paintings. This is a real shame. I hope the paintings are recovered.

Art is supposed to be for everyone to enjoy and considering how famous these works are, they can’t be sold on the open market. It would have to be bartered to a private collector. The works of art pilfered by armed robbers are:

“Poppy Field near Vetheuil” by Claude Monet

“Ludovic Lepic and his Daughters” by Edgar Degas

“The Boy in the Red Waistcoat” by Paul Cezanne

“Blossoming Chestnut Branches” by Vincent van Gogh
